Tour

>Annual Tour

Every year we run a tour to somewhere in Europe to play some squash and party! In previous years we have been to Slovenia, Cyprus, Portugal and Ireland. Last year we went to Ireland, crushing University Dublin on their own grounds, and experienced the nightlife that Dublin had to offer inbetween. Of course not to forget a trip to the Guiness storehouse! This year the tour is being organised by Zoe Balkwell, and am sure that it will live up to previous years. Keep an eye on the notices page/your emails for more details.

Mini Tours

Throughout the year there are open graded squash tournaments held around the country. Last year we attended Reading and Wimbledon tournaments, claiming a few trophies along the way. These tournaments are normally held over a weekend, and so we stay in local accomodation and hit the town in the evening. This year we intend to attend as many tournaments as we can find, and these are open to players of all abilities so everyone can attend. The standard varies from tournament to tournament, and can have categories A - D/E according to England Squash definitions. To help gauge which category may be suitable for you, here is a rough guide to the ability in each grade.

A - County standard players playing in a county league (may be suitable for some 1st team players)

B - A middle team player who is not county standard (1st team/2nd team)

C - Lower club team players, and those who play regularly (2nd team/3rd team)

D - Players who compete in an internal club league, but do not represent a team

E - Players who are relatively new to the game, but have a good grasp of the different playable shots
